Tuesday 15th Sept
We were nervous about flying across to Nairobi then home on same day as we struggled to get flights from Lamu however seems pretty easy now we are here. No matter we have a hotel near the airport and Carla keen to brave a Nairobi walking tour tomorrow. Flight home leaves at 11pm tomorrow night. we had a lazy morning, breakfast then waited for boat transfer across to Manda and the airstrip at 11 am.
We had the Peponi Dhow to ourselves for the transfer over.
Such an easy check-in then a 30 minute wait for boarding through gate 3.
We were met at Nairobi and driven over to our less than salubrious Eka hotel.
We sat, read a bit, had a beer and chatted to a nice English couple who had just arrived and were excited for their Safari. We then eat yet another ok but not fantastic dinner then went to bed at 2130.
