Sunday 13th Sept
We elected to basically chill today as the Peponi setting is so lovely – the alternative was a boat ride through the mangrove to a ruin on Manda Island – after 10 minutes chilling we both agreed ‘right decision’.
I finished my book so downloaded his (James Wolff’s) third – ‘The man in the corduroy trousers’.

The view is extremely nice and relaxing – food for the mind I feel.
Breakfast was slow and … average – that word again. We then sat – Carla in the sun and me in the shade for most of the day.
We wandered down to the beach and Carla pretended she might go for a swim (she didn’t).

This evening we have a sunset Dhow cruise and swim kindly booked and paid for by Imran and we are looking forward to that. Imran’s only request was we take a bottle of something nice with us – I will 100% oblige.
Finished Russian Roulette by Giles Milton fascinating summary of SIS (MI6) inception during Bolshevik Revolution – three books down.
Took a bottle of cava onto Dhow and the sunset cruise was lovely across and through the mangrove channels and back – the captain – Darwesh shimmied up the mast even and took some birds eye view shots of us too.

Was a lovely trip. Sunday night is curry night so we had snapper curry and prawn curry and I finished off with a double Tia Maria – reminds me of holidays on Guernsey with parents and Jane. I plan to try and get the Seestar fired up later – my last try.
