Exciting. Breakfasted early – I had a masala omelette then met our guide Thomas and we were off.
Six hour drive to the Massai. At about 1 pm we entered the park and still had a 50km drive to our hotel the Mara Serena Lodge. On the way we saw zebra a-plenty, a hyena, a baboon and hippos.
At about 1430 arrived at hotel and grabbed lunch before our first game drive.
A cold beer was had.
After a siesta by the pool we set out on our first game drive and saw some fantastic wildlife we ticked off lions, giraffe, elephant, hippo and leopard.
Wifi in hotel not great so uploading photos is slow – I will do a safari blog at some point with the best photos.
