Thursday 3rd Sept
So off to Heathrow for our swanky flight to Nairobi. After check-in we lounged in the lounge then boarded and relaxed – we both watched three films – Pressure was excellent with Andrew Scott about the meteorologist that had to give Eisenhower the nod or not to launch d-day. Was a good flight and the food was really excellent (we were in business). I had beetroot carpaccio to start then beef cheeks then the cheese with a lovely gin cocktail to start and a nice Rioja then port. About two hours out a cheeseburger in brioche and a beer. Lovely.
Through immigration fairly easily although we were confused re our pick up – they found us eventually then transferred to our hotel for what was a restless nights sleep for both of us. We are two hours ahead of London so head on pillow 1030 pm local time was too early really but we are on the road at 0700 so need to be up very early.
