Up at 8 then tennis at 10. Played in a different four to Carla with a chap called Steve against Boris the Serb and Beverley the Boney M tribute act lady. Steve and I won 6-4 mainly thanks to Steve as my serve has gone backwards but I played a few decent shots.
Carla and I then played against Boris and he slaughtered us 6-1.
Quick pop to Waitrose for bread and Charlie Bighams fish pie for tonight dinner then off to Radlett to Carla’s great niece‘ – Lila – 6th Birthday.
Seriously have no time to do anything have vowed I need to get into reading again.
Yesterday in Observer there was a great article about Bayeux tapestry – opens today at BM I think – we managed to get members tickets for October. Also an article about Gary Lineker which was a good read.
I have loaded two books to my iPad – I prefer actual books but with all my camera gear am too loaded up. Russian Roulette – am still trying to get through it and Anarchy by William Dalrymple about the East India Company – we are off to geographical society in November to hear him speak / be interviewed. I need to load a few more and give reading a concerted effort
I am getting quite excited about Kenya but Carla says she will only start to do so when she is on plane with a glass of bubbly in her hands.
Good article about a bio of a Rugby Player called Ryan Caldwell which I might download too.
Party was nice a few beers and lovely cake.
Home to a Dragon (episode not Carla) then beddy byes.
