Carla over at Alex and Mila’s for the day and for dinner so I am a free agent.
Booked myself a London Walk at 1015 – ‘Inside Covent Garden’ was fascinating. He showed us sone things in the nain piazza I had never seen before took us into the Anglican and Roman Catholic actors churches and Rules – told us all about John Betjeman and Graham Green two of the many famous patrons and both of whom have private dining rooms named after them. I like Rules a lot although have had some bad ‘service’ experiences there but would definitely go back. The guide told us too about King Edward VII and Lily Langtree’s dangerous liaisons at a special area in the Rules Bar (now named after him). Was great so am going to do a few more I think.
Was reading the Grauniad and they have the 10 funniest jokes from the fringe so thought I would share the link:
I liked this best : I spent all day writing a joke about margarine and I can’t believe it’s not better.
Also meant to share yesterday an article from the Times about a deliver at home Indian food option rum by the Chef who had the only two Michelin stars for his Birmingham restaurant and who has opened recently in London.
His delivered at home service is here, looks really good and am going to give it a go.
Sold another pair of shoes on eBay so walked down to post office – on way back there as a group of women filming/ chatting and one asked me if I wanted to go on camera and tell them my favourite word for sex! I laughed and walked on but … got me thinking – ‘a bit of how’s your father’ probably.
Watched Spectre on TV and eat the rest of the Dabba then, when Carla got home we watched – and loved – our first ever Ludwig.
