Sunday 16th August
Last night we decided we would take a trip to Portsmouth today. We rather like Gunwharf Quays and the old dockyard so booked the tickets and off we went via Prêt to Waterloo and the 0930 to Portsmouth Harbour.
Cooler today – good really although I have been enjoying the heat.
Started listening to off menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster (haven’t listened for a while – love it) – it was a tasting menu and the guest was Sindu Vee who I really like – have tickets to see her at the Palladium in October.
Train was running late and positively crawled its way to Clapham Junction but we arrived about 8 mins late only so all good.
Well a lovely few hours was had wandering – Carla needed some retail therapy and unusually for me I spent hardly anything – we had a lovely lunch of sea bass and crushed potatoes and a mixed salad at Carluccios. There’s such a nice vibe here.
Caught 1532 home arrived 8 mins late as well then tube and Liz line home.
