Slept in and rolled out of bed at 0915, pottered then joined Carla for tennis at 11. Played an hour and was stiff as hell after – my back certainly needs to get used to all this twisting.
After lunch and, given the old people’s Regent Street Cinema is in Hiatus until September, we cycled over for a wander around Battersea Power Station area.
They have 4 petanque courts on the jetty but £9 per adult – bloody hell – we did not play that. Wandered around the shops Carla bought something as I did then we cycled back.
I then spent two hours ironing all my stuff before sitting down for dinner – a starter of goats cheese on figs, followed by chicken noodle soup.
We then blobbed in front of TV before retiring to bed at 1030.
