Sunday 9th August
Went to bed after midnight and woke at 0550 so my sleep score was about as low as I ever can recall – 68 – not had a 100 for a while.
Carla has a free cinema ticket she absolutely had to use and a free Itsu so, she has requested a very early Sunday roast at 1330 and took herself off on bike for 30 mins to get a free Itsu. She says I will be as obsessed with free stuff soon but – whilst I am a tad more ‘principled’ vis chasing refunds and extracting value I doubt I will ever be black belt 7th Dan at it like Carla.
Carla was up early too so what felt like late morning was actually 9 am when we set off to Columbia Street Flower market in search of a butter dish (Gen Z love ‘em – Dan and Emily and Ali and Isabel have them) via Paul for a coffee and croissant for Carla and a Beignet for me.
Butter dish and some flowers acquired we cycled back via Waitrose then I duty bound made Sunday lunch – it was on table at 1310 so very early (for me).
Carla then went off to see the Odyssey with her free ticket (in Holloway) so I took myself on bike to scope out the new Olympia. It only opened early June but looks lovely.
Had a wander and a cheeky negroni then cycled home. Was feeling tired – I think my blood pressure has notched down and is possibly too low now so am monitoring – it was 112/82 when I measured …
Anyway I will monitor for a while then maybe visit Doc. In the evening we settled down and started watching House of Dragon from Series 1 ep 1 so we can build towards new series. Thoroughly relaxing day.
