An aching back guaranteed

24th July

Slept really well – was hoping for a perfect score but scraped under at 99. Haven’t had 100 for a while now. Article today in Guardian on sleep and says I might need to top up my creatine and eat more fibre too. I think Imran mentioned creatine when he was over recently so I might give it a go.

Went to nail shop and had toes and fingers sorted ahead of Canada trip Tuesday then nearly two hours of tennis so now walking like I am an 89 year old. I played about 10 good shots in 50 I reckon and definitely am the weakest link. I need to up my game somehow – hopefully will come with practice.

Had toasted goats cheese on Alex and Mila’s garden figs with Paul seeded baguette for lunch – was mighty fine.

After blobbing for an hour went with Carla to Islington, me on my fixie and she on her eBike – it is up hill pretty well all the way from here to Union Chapel, was knackering however my cycle back was a breeze.

Wandered along upper street browsing the lovely shops and bought a fantastic coffee gadget from a shop called twentytwentyone (it’s where our brown chair is from):

Brown Chair
The gadget: an induction hob double espresso moka … straight into cups or cup – snazzy or what?

We stopped for coffee (Carla) and a cold drink (for me) from Paul before Carla went for a pre-booked massage and I came home for a rest.

Went for fish and chips at Kennedys on Whitecross street – we share a large – was bloody lovely.

Our local chippy is lovely
