Up at 8 as we have an über booked for 0945. Carla already changed her bed, hoovered and washed all the floors …
We had been due to take train back to Copenhagen but trains all messed up and we would have to have left at 6 am for 1250 flight so we rebooked late last week with BA at 1240 from Bilund – much more civilised.
io summer party tonight so looking forward to that later.
Flight had an ‘engine problem’ – eek so left over an hour late but landed about 1430 so all good – I sent Carla home ahead of me while I waited for my massive suitcase then followed on, on train behind.
I reloaded instagram a week or so ago – so came home to about 30 parcels of utter shite that said one thing I bought was age / sunspot cream … incredible (see below). Have deleted insta again as was wasting hours doom scrolling.
Carla came to io summer party / my retirement bash and it was so moving – they bought me a Breitling watch I’ve been coveting and the card and messages welled me up massively when I read them this am.
Carla left us around 11 as we went to a pub in the city that stays open to 3 am where they were pushing out the karaoke – our choice (wagon wheel) didn’t make it onto the decks before I staggered home and into bed!
I bloody love io – and they clearly love me too!
Was heart warming.
