Fredericia Day 5

Monday 13th July

A perfect lazy day. Got up late and blobbed around the farmhouse all day. Carla slogged in garden as usual.

Once Dan had finished work we picked Emily up at Fredericia station (she was out all day for driving lessons) then drove onto Middlefart for the evening (a real name, fart in Danish = speed apparently). What a lovely place. We had a beer in a converted warehouse I fancied a porter so picked one and once bought only then realised it was 10% ABV! Was snoozy borderline pissed for next hour or so. We strolled along the beach front and marina then went to a hotel for a beautiful meal on the terrace. I had the wine pairing so four rather lovely glasses of wine including a ‘Rose’ – a local wine. The whole meal was free too (Carla treated us all). We got home after 10 and I went straight to bed and another night in the tent.

Also did a really fun thing … got Claude to write the lyrics of my retirement song then a freebie song generator called ‘mureka’ to compose and sing it … move over Noah Nine here I come …
