Thursday 9th July
Was awake until 3 am – watched (finished) a movie on iPhone then doom looped on instagram so didn’t get out of bed until 1046. Had a great kip – bed was lovely and comfy and it is so quiet here – woke to Carla in ‘full Carla’ (weeding / bramble hacking in garden) and aching to show me the rest of Dan and Emily’s empire – she did – we wandered through the three vast barns then had eggs on Danish toasted bread for lunch. We then went for a lovely walk out and around to the Fjord and back again – a 5km loop according to Apple Workout.
Exciting .. I pitched my two man terra-nova tent that I recently rediscovered in our yellow box. Yes, any opportunity I like to camp out despite the bed here being so comfy I need to rough it. I also intend giving my Seestar S30 Pro its first proper run out to see if I can photograph a nebula.
In the evening Dan cooked up a lovely veggie bar-b-q then we sat and chilled.
Forgot to say D + E have an abundance of cherry trees so Carla and I – then Dan joined once home spent 60 mins harvesting one tree …
