Monday 6th July
Got home late 0115 in morning but couldn’t stay up for football. Woke and saw score watched highlights – excellent result and watching all the reactions from those watching the match … hilarious.
Woke at 0730, abluted (the three s’s) then out for a haircut. Met Carla at 11 and played tennis with some of her friends … loved it then went to pick up my new bike a beautiful Condor Pista – how many bikes should you have? (It’s always N+1). Single speed for whizzing around London – shopped at the massive Brunswick Centre Waitrose – gonna be going there … a lot. Carla’s sister Angela here for dinner as we are trying to see if Claude can get her a sought after appointment at the Italian consulate (didn’t work but could act on chrome and ping booking page continuously so a step up from a human doing it). What a day – free to do whatever I want – loved it. Roll on Tuesday and my first long cycle out of town.
Also washed all my stuff as need to pack for Denmark – we are leaving Wednesday – and taking Seestar S30 telescope to see if I can get any astro shots – and my tent so I can camp in Dan and Emily’s garden … exciting.
