Arrived late Friday and popped out for a quick tapas – wasn’t great but the beer was cold. Did a guru walk Saturday morning then wandered across the bridge heading for Graham’s Port lodge but only made it as far as lunch which was lovely – grilled sardines and more beer. We did a river cruise then a cheeky Tawny port at The Cruz Port Lodge. We wandered back over the river and through the streets – a beer or two was had then 1h of Fado at Casa da Guitarra which was excellent then dinner at a lovely restaurant where the owner was an absolute hoot – Almada 331 – the food was lovely and the glasses never emptied. Each set of guests was introduced to those already seated so ‘Norway’ meet the English, Germans … etc. we had black spaghetti with prawns and duck confit, a shared starter and dessert all for €77 – was so good. Also had live music – a travelling musician with muted trumpet.
