A series of unlikely outcomes

Friday 26th June

A lovely start to the day the sun is out and it is oh so hot. Am having a manicure-pedicure then my first taste of tennis with Carla but planet nails are running late so mini stressing about the tennis as I don’t like to be late for anything – ever – as those that know me well will attest. Later we are cleaning the flat before heading to Gatwick to fly to Porto – a great way to kick off I feel (well apart from the bog brush bit). Currently sitting in the shade in Charterhouse square where they have a pop up summer bar – sadly its only 1019 so it’s not open else I would definitely have had a glass of fizz – I never feel guilty about pre-noon drinks – something I owe my Dad ‘the sun is over the yard arm somewhere in the world’ I live by that – and – his other mantra too that ‘water is for washing’ – well at least once the first drop of lager, beer or g&t has been had… cannot quite believe that I am finally retired – loving the feeling though.
