Thursday 25th June

The gym this morning for a strength session, followed by an hour accidentally donated to Instagram. I then cycled over to Lamb’s Conduit Street for a cappuccino and a pain au chocolat.

The ostensible purpose of the trip was to add to my plentiful stock of linen shirts. Lamb’s Conduit has become something of a destination for excellent English menswear, so I wandered between Neem London, Sunspel and Original Fibres.

The sun was out and I found a table outside La Fromagerie while waiting for my coffee. It would have been almost perfect were it not for a delivery driver sitting in his van with the radio blaring. I genuinely love London. I just wish it would shut the f**k up every now and then.

From there I cycled on to Borough Market to meet Mike and Phil over a few tapas before heading home to what, in this weather, felt like the greatest invention of modern civilisation: air conditioning.

Nothing particularly remarkable happened today.

Which, I suspect, may turn out to be the point.

As requested me on way to work (well lunch with Mike and Phil actually) n-1
